Christmas Puzzle card

Updated: Jul 31, 2023

When I saw Sam Calcott make a puzzle card a few weeks ago I immediately thought of the Gina K set called Silly Season. If you are giving someone a card, they have to solve a puzzle to be able to read it has to be a lighthearted message. I have the measurements for a 5x7 and an A2 card that will fit the gnome and the tree. The nesting dies need to step down about an inch for each size. If you have the ability to cut an SVG I do have the exact one I used below for you to download. I can see a lot more puzzle cards in my future.

Materials

For 5x7

5x7 card base (10 x7 folded in half)

print paper- ¾ x 5, 5x7

White stamping card- ¾ x 3 ½, 2 ¼ x 3, 5 in. square

Green cardstock- 7/8 x 3 5/8, 2 3/8 x 3 1/8, circle 4 5/8

Circle nesting dies- 4 ½. 3 ½, 2 ½,1 ½

Directions

1. Nest the circle nesting dies evenly spaced and die cut.

2. Cut each circle out separately. Cut 2 of the largest circle.

3. Nest the cut frames on a sticky mat, stamp and color the images.

4.Glue the frame to the matching solid circle.

5.Fold the extra-large circle into forth and use it to poke a hole in the middle of the circles. Attack circles with a brad.

6. Stamp the sentiment and inside message and layer with the green cardstock.

7. Attach the sentiment with foam to the front.

8. Glue the print strip in between the inside message and the green cardstock and glue to the inside.
