Counrty Christmas Theater Card

Updated: Jan 13, 2023

A theater card is dramic for the person you give one to but is easy to make. The video link will take you step by step through all the steps to make one yourself. Also there are written directions below if you perfer. The paper measurements can be found below along with a link to the digital graphics I used. If you have a cutting machine I linked a SVG with all the measurements done for you.

ITEMS USED

The SVG for the card pieces can be downloaded at

The graphics can be found at

1 -5x7

1 -5x 7 with 4x6 cut out of the middle

1 - 5x7 with 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 cut out of the middle

2 - 6x4 3/4 -scored at 3/4 and 2 1/2 along the 6 inch side

2- 1/2 x5 3/4 -scored 1/2 inch from each end

decorative papers

2- 4 1/2x 3 1/4

2- 41/2x 1 1/2

1- 4 1/2 x 3 1/4

1- 3 1/4 x 1/2 (for floor)

Written directions

1. Glue the 2 5x7 with the cut outs together to form the frame.

2. Fold the 1/2x 5 3/4 pieces at the score lines and glue to the back side of both sides of the short sides of the frame lining up the edge of the paper with the opening of the frame. making sure the paper can not be seen from the front. This will hold the theater doors in place. (theater door loops)

3. Fold the 2, 6x 4 3/4 pieces on the score line making on a mountain and one a valley fold. Apply glue to the section that is 3/4 inch wide. Place the folded paper on top of the 5x7 (the solid one) lining up the paper so the largest section is on top and the fold faces to the center of the card. Line up the edge of the paper with the outside of the 5x7 base. Repeat for the other side.

4.Cover each section with the corresponding decorative paper.

5. Slide the end of the 6x4 3/4 through the theater door loops.

6. The card is now ready to decorate anyway you wish. When gluing down take note of how the items will look in both the open and closed position. All items on the doors should be glued flat. The inside items can be put on foam, 3d glue or stacked as you wish without interfering with the opening and closing of the card.
