Diamoond Easel- Father's Day

A diamond easel card is an impressive looking card that is just as easy as a regular easel to put together. The main difference is the card front is cut to a point and the square topper is turned at an angle. I used a stamp set from Crafty Meraki called “My Hero”. I had never purchased anything from this company before and only heard of them through the Stamp and Scrapbooking Expo. I was very pleased with the set. It is photopolymer and the sentiments stamped very well. The set is 6 ½ by 8 and they would fit on many different sized cards. All but 1 of the stamps is over 2 inches tall. I will definitely be taking a second look at the website.

Materials

Crafty Meraki -My Hero

Gina K ink pads- Green Grass, Seas Glass, Power Blue

Gina K amalgam inkpad black

Light Blue cardstock 8 ½ x 11

Dark blue cardstock 4 ¼ x 4 ¼ and 3 ¾ x 2

White stamping card 4 x4 and 3 ½ x 1 ¾

Pin and Main- Warm Basics paper pad

Directions

1.Cut the 8 ½ x 11 card stock to 6 x 11 and score at 6 and 9 inches.

2. Along the 6 in side, on the far end, mark at 3 inches. Cut at an angle from the 3-inch mark to the outer edge of the 9-inch score line on both sides forming a point. Fold all the score lines.

3. Glue a 5 ¾ x 5 ¾ patterned paper to the inside bottom of the card.

4. Stamp and color the 4-inch stamping card. Make sure the stamp is placed point to point not on the straight line. Then glue to the 4 ¼ inch dark blue square.

5. Stamp the message to the 3 ½ x 1 ¾ stamping card and glue to the 3 ¾ x 2 dark blue cardstock. Attach 1/8-inch foam to the back.

6. Glue the diamond topper to the front of the closed card. Only glue below the score line.

7. Attach stopper to the inside of the card making sure it can’t be seen when the card is closed.
