Fan pop out card

This 5x7 card opens to a pop out fan. I saw Sam Colcott make a 6x6 card like this with butterflies but wanted flowers and a 5x7. The fan is cut from a single 8 ½ x 11 medium weight cardstock. You can really put anything on the top. You can spell something out, make a scene with flowers, butterflies, fairies, lady bugs, the possibilities are endless. After the video I did add a second row of leaves to each side of the card. It did make it look a lot more like a flower bed.

Materials

1-8 ½ x 11 light weight card - scored along the 8 ½ side at ½, 1, 4 ½, 8

11Flowers- about 1 ½ inches wide

Inside 2- 4 ¾ x 6 ¾, one each side

Front 1- 4 ¾ x 6 ¾

1- 4 ½ x 6 ½

Directions

1. Cut the 8 ½ x 11 into 1-inch stripes along the 11 in side. Fold on score lines and glue tabs together. Trim the folded tabs at an angle about ¼ of an inch from the bottom fold line to the top.

2. Glue the folded stripes one on top of the other overlapping about ½ inch to form the fan.

3. Glue the mats to the inside of the card

4. Glue the fan to the card center by gluing about 2/3 of the top panel to the card front and the last panel to the card back.

5. Glue 1st 5 flowers on the to the right side of the fold, Glue the last 5 to the left side of the fold, The center can on either side.

6. Add leaves as you wish

Mat and stamp the front topper. Arrange 3 flowers on the front and glue to the mat and layer paper for the front then glue to the card front.
