Joy Fold Card 5x7

Writer's picture: Karen EbelingKaren Ebeling

A Joy fold card is a card that has 2 flaps that open. Usually, you see them with one flap smaller than the other. The 2 flaps are made by nesting 2 different size cards together. In this card I used a 4x6 and a 5x7 card base. I used these sizes because they are the same proportion so they are easily centered. The 4x6 is glued to the inside the 5x7 backward forming the flap. An ½ inch is cut off of the front of the 5x7 so the 4x6 flap can be centered on the front. As far as the mat and layers go you can add as many or as few as you want giving you different looks.
