This 5 x7 easel card uses Elizabeth Craft Designs figures I bought at a craft Expo. There is no coloring in this card; it is all dies. The Santa does have same small pieces to glue on but they go on the same way you would put gems on a card. I did edge some of the die cuts to give the card a little texture. The snow drifts are just a curved line cut in heavy cardstock. The sleigh is just a couple of pieces. To add some dimension, some of the pieces are on foam.
Materials
5x7 card base (10 x 7 paper folded in half)
Heavy white cardstock
Elizabeth Craft Designs 1990 Santa Clause
Elizabeth Craft Design 1568 Santa Sleigh
Gina K ink pads- Sea Glass, Power Blue, Cherry Red, Warm Cocoa
Copic marker- C0
Sentiment stamps
Foam tape 1/16 thick
Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen
Directions
1. Fold the front of the card base in half (at 2 ½)
2. Ink the top half of the card front with Sea glass and Power Blue.
3. Cut the white card stock to 7 on wide and cut a curvy line about 3 inches from the bottom. Then cut a straight line 2 inches from the curved edge. Then cut a curved line about 1 in from the bottom. This will give you 3 snow drifts. You can flip the middle drift so it doesn’t look like the top one. Save the curved scrap to stencil.
4. Glue the snow drifts to the bottom of the card front, make sure the fold line is covered.
5. Stamp Merry Christmas or sentiments of your choice to the top right.
6. Use the snow drift scrap to stencil the inside of the card with Power Blue. Stamp the inside message.
7. Die cut all the pieces of the sleigh. Die cut the presents and bows 2 times. Die cut the sleigh in black if you want to make the sleigh blade a different color or you can color it.
8. Glue 1 set of presents and bows together. Cut the “stems” off the 2nd set of bows and trim the presents so the edges are flat. Then glue the bows on top.
9. Ink the edges of the sleigh in red then glue the presents into the sleigh.
10. Either color the sleigh blade or trim it off and glue on the black one.
11. Cover the edges of the sleigh and blade with sparkle pen.
12. Assemble the Santa body beginning with shirt then pants, shoes, left arm and list (ink edges in Warm cocoa). Then assemble the arm and sack (edge in warm cocoa) then glue to body. For the head start with the eyes and eye brows the beard, mouth, mustache, nose, glasses, and hat.
13. Glue sleigh to the far right. Put Santa on foam and attach to the left side.
14. Put the sleigh tree on foam on place over sleigh.
