This is a fun variation on the standard easel card. The easel is placed on a base and a message is placed next to it. The only difference is I like to trim the back of the Easel card base so it doesn’t extend past the stopper. This makes the easel look like its attached to the base instead of just sitting on top of it. There are 2 different SVGs for this project. One is the exact card I made for my Niece’s graduation and the other is a more generic edged rectangle you can add any decorative topper to.

Directions
.Mat and layer as you would like the 5x7 card base to be.
.Fold the front of the small card base in half so there is a place to attach the easel topper.
.Glue the easel topper to the folded small base. Only apply glue to the top folded portion of the small base front.
.Assemble your message topper as you wish
.Now place the easel and the message toppers on the card base for placement and glue down the message topper.
.Now trim the back of the easel base so it won’t extend past your stopper. (This gives a clean look.)
.Then glue down the back of the easel to the card base.
.Attach stopper so the easel will stand the way you would like and the edge of the easel card base is under the card when opened.
