Welcome to Christmas in July. Everyday this month I will have another Christmas/ holiday card or project. For my first card, I am making 2 different sized recessed snow globe shaker cards; a 5x7 and an A2. I will be using the same stamps and dies in both cards to show how you can easily change the size of a card. These cards can be make just using circle nesting dies and 2 rectangles. You do not have to have a snow globe die to make it. The only other things you will need are some small stamps or dies to put in the snow globe. I will use the Gina K Winter Wonderland dies but anything small will work.
Materials need for both card sizes
½ x 2 ½ - brown
½ x 3- brown
3 ½ in square acetate
Red paper
Circle nesting dies
Gina K Winter wonderland
Snow stencil
Embossing folder- wood grain
Embossing folder – Gina k Holiday Flora

Foam tape
Paper sixed for the 5x7
5x7- card base
5x7- green or patterned paper
4 ½ x 6 ½ - heavy weight white cardstock
4 ¼ x 6 ¼- white cardstock for blending
Paper sized for the A2
5 ½ x 4 ¼ green or patterned paper
5 ¼ x 4 heavyweight white card stock
5 x 3 ¾ white for blending
A2 card blank
Directions
1. Find the nesting circle that is about 3 ½ inches and the next size down. Tape the 2 together and die cut in red to make the snow globe frame.
2. Use the smaller die to cut the into the heavy cardstock where you want the snow globe to be. The 5x7 is about an inch from the top and the A2 is a little more than ¼ in from the top.
Glue the red frame over the hole.
3. Stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the card.
4. Stencil the snow on the front.
5. Apply the acetate to the backside of the paper covering the hole.
6.Apply 1/8 in foam around the circle and across the bottom of the card.
