Snowflake Gatefold

This Christmas card was inspired from a Craft Roulette bonus challenge from week #36. I had made a 5x7 card that was very similar so I decide to make this one 6x6. If you prefer a 5x7 card the measurements for both sizes are listed below. This card goes together pretty quickly because the embossing folder does all the work for you. The 2 cards are also a little different in the way the front panels are placed. The 5x7 has panels that are centered on each side of the gatefold so they can be cut then embossed. The 6x6 is centered to the card center so it is embossed first then cut in half at 2 7/8. If you would rather have an equal border then cut 2 papers 2 ¾ x 5 ¾ and center them on each side.

Materials

Faded jeans Distressed Oxide

White Gina K pigment ink

Pink and Main Snow Days stamp set

Pink and Main Snow Days embossing folder

Clear embossing power

Paper For 5x7 gatefold

Paper For 6x6 gatefold

Directions

1. Emboss the 5 ¾ square in a snowflake embossing folder the cut in half at 2 7/8.

2. Glue the embossed panels to the card front, flush with the card opening.

3. Place the 3-inch square in your stamping platform so the points are up and down and left to right forming a diamond. Stamp the snowflakes and sentiment on the diamond with Faded Jeans

4. Distressed Oxide and heat emboss with clear embossing power.

5. Glue the 3-inch square to the 3 ½ inch square

6. Glue ½ of the diamond to the front left panel lining up the points to the panel inner edge.
